ISD COURSES IN UNIBEN: The International Relations & Diplomacy major is a course which is intended to provide students with an introduction to the relationship between sovereign states in a continuously evolving international system. Centering on the post-World War II period, it looks at the historical genesis of the current international system, at the relations, conflictual and cooperative, between states in areas like collective problem-solving, diplomacy, and trade and at the role of international organizations, like the United Nations, in mediating these relations.
The study and practice of international relations and diplomacy is interdisciplinary in nature, blending the fields of economics, history, and political science to examine topics such as human rights, global poverty, the environment, economics, globalization, security, global ethics, and the political environment
ISD COURSES IN UNIBEN SUBJECT COMBINATION / JAMB UTME REQUIREMENTS.
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study International Studies and Diplomacy under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities includes;
History/Government and any other two (2) subjects from Arts andSocial Sciences.
ISB COURSES IN UNIBEN O’Level Requirements
The ISB courses for O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study International Studies and Diplomacy in UNIBEN are;
Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.
ISD COURSES IN UNIBEN SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
BIU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Government/History, another Arts subject and any other two (2) Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
To study ISD in UNIBEN, these are the requirements/conditions you need to fulfill in other to gain a Direct Entry admission to study International Studies and Diplomacy, if you don’t intend to use UTME. The requirements are;
Two(2) ‘A’ level passes/NCE (upper credit) in History/ Government and any other related subject.
ISD COURSES IN UNIBEN SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) Requirements.
BENIN requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes in GCE or HSC or their equivalent in History/Government and any other related subject. It accepts NCE credit pass in History, Government or Social Studies.
